Warranty / Repairs Policy
OmniCarbon is a personal project, and every wheelset I sell is something I would confidently ride myself.
That means I stand behind the products and the build quality — not just on day one, but after real use.
If something fails due to a manufacturing fault or defect, I will make it right.
Warranty Period
OmniCarbon products include a 3-year warranty from the date of delivery.
The warranty covers defects in:
-
materials
-
manufacturing
-
assembly workmanship (where applicable)
This warranty applies under normal and reasonably expected use within the intended riding category (road / gravel, etc.).
What the Warranty Covers
If a defect appears during the warranty period, OmniCarbon will provide one of the following remedies:
-
Repair, or
-
Replacement, or
-
Refund (only if repair/replacement is not possible or reasonable)
The remedy is chosen based on what is fastest, most practical, and fair.
Used Products (Important)
A product does not need to be unused to qualify for warranty.
If you have ridden the product normally and a defect appears, it is still covered — as long as the product was used within what is reasonably expected for cycling equipment.
What is Considered Normal Use?
Normal use includes:
-
correct installation
-
correct spoke tension / setup (for wheels)
-
riding within the product’s intended category (e.g., road/gravel)
-
routine maintenance and cleaning
If you are uncertain whether something counts as normal use, contact me first — you’ll get a straight answer.
What is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
-
crash, impact, or external damage
-
misuse, neglect, or improper installation
-
damage caused by incompatible parts or incorrect setup
-
modifications (drilling, sanding, machining, altering components)
-
normal wear items (e.g., bearings over time, cosmetic wear)
-
damage caused by using the product outside its intended use case
How to Start a Warranty / Repairs Case
To start a warranty claim, email:
Include:
-
order number
-
description of the issue
-
clear photos (and video if relevant)
-
when/how the issue occurred
I will respond with next steps and (if needed) return shipping instructions.
Shipping Costs for Warranty Cases
-
If the issue is confirmed as a warranty defect, OmniCarbon covers reasonable shipping costs related to the repair or replacement process.
-
If inspection shows the issue is not a warranty defect (for example crash damage), the customer may be responsible for shipping costs.
No one should be surprised by costs — if shipping is needed, I’ll confirm the plan first.
Repairs Outside Warranty
If your warranty period has ended, or the issue is not covered, I can still often help.
In those cases I will offer:
-
paid repair options (if possible), or
-
replacement options at a fair cost
